Maui Tips - Where to Find The Best Burgers in Lahaina

As much as I enjoy eating all that Poi and Spam, sometimes I get a craving for a good old fashion burger. The quintessential American classic has evolved into a variety of styles that can be found locally in Maui. Personally, I enjoy all varieties: Patty Melts, Hawaiian Burgers, California Style or even the occasional Veggie Burger.
When you are in Lahaina and get that craving for a BURGER, here are a few of my suggestions:
Cool Cat Cafe - Voted at least 5 years in a row as the Best Burgers on Maui, Cool Cat Cafe is located right across from Lahaina's Banyan Tree in The Wharf Cinema Center. Cool Cat restaurant has over 50+ menu items ranging from burgers, chicken & fish sandwiches, salads, chili, 
hot dogs and steaks. Love the 50s ambiance and live rock music. I always make time for air hockey in their mini arcade.
My Typical Cool Cats Order: The Marilyn Burger.Melted Jack cheese and mild green Ortega chili. Dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, sweet Maui onions, and thousand island dressing. Comes with a side of frings (basket of fries & onion rings) & root beer float (with a shot of Myer's Dark Rum).
Teddy's Bigger Burger - Just in time for summer, Lahaina's newest Burger joint just opened. This place is going to be a success! Teddy's Build-Your-Own Burgergive you the flexibility to have it your way! Located right in the Lahina Gateway Shopping Center, this Lahaina Burger Joint is so convenient when you get that craving.
My Typical Teddy's Bigger Burger Order: 7 oz Bigger Burger with an extra veggie patty (made with peppers, water chesnuts and something else good) topped with a half an avocado and a side of onion rings. Love their milkshakes too! My favorite is the Chocolate Pineapple Malt. Yum!
Chris' Smokehouse and BBQ- Made with smoked kiawe wood (pronounced kee-a-vey), also 
known as mesquite gives everything an awesome flavor.
This local restaurant is tucked away from the front street crowd and is my favorite rainy day restaurant.
My Typical Order at Chris' Smokehouse and BBQ: Bacon Cheddar Burger, side of Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers and a glass of Merlot.
