Q: Should I use a Maui wedding coordinator?
A: Yes. Most definitely Y-E-S! The last thing you want to do is plan your own island wedding. Though it may sound fun at first, planning your own wedding will not save you much money. And, it definitely won't save you time! Trust me, when planning destination weddings on Maui professional help is worth it. Many caterers and wedding locations will provide the coordination for you or can recommend a preferred coordinator who will assist creating a beautiful Hawaii wedding. A few Maui caterers and chefs we like to work with include Chef Christian Jorgensen of Comfort Zone Catering, Chef Lee McBride at Aloha Events Catering and Larry Mischel Caterer Extraordinaire. In addition to providing great food, some provide rentals, linens, and entertainment for your Maui wedding reception. Ask about your own private luau or a backyard Hawaiian barbeque for a rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.
Q: Are there vacation rental homes or private estates with accommodations and weddings packages? How do I avoid additional site rental costs or site fees?
A: Yes. Many properties are not available online and are only privy to people on the island. Of course, our favorite is the Lahaina Oceanfront Estate. But, there are beautiful private wedding locations in Maalaea and Launiopoko we love too! We offer customized celebrations on Maui. Just Ask! Anything can happen in Paradise.
Q: What if it rains on my wedding day?
If you plan your wedding in Lahaina, rain is very unlikely! We usually get less than a week of rain a year, greatly reducing your chances of rain on your wedding day. If you are getting married in Kapalua, Wailea, Hana or other Maui wedding locations, the chance of rain is more likely during the winter months. Lahaina is the sunniest side of Maui! So, if you are not getting married in Lahaina, consider a secondary 'rainout wedding location' for a backup.
Q: How can I save money on my Maui wedding?
A: Don't get married in Maui. Just kidding. Getting married in Maui is the ultimate island wedding! Even if only an affordable simple beach wedding, any experience getting married in Maui is priceless.
